Delight at Darley

PAXFORD Garage owner Clive Wadey spent the weekend at Darley Moor where he had four rides and never finished out of the first three.

The Cotswolds racer claimed a brace of victories, three second place finishes and the same number of thirds.

Wadey was unlucky not to have recorded a couple more wins as he was leading the opening race in the damp conditions when it was red-flagged.

He then made a bad start on the restart and could only manage runners-up spot.

In the last race of the day over 12 miles, the lead changed hands on a couple of occasions and Wadey was edged out on the line by Tewkesbury's by Nigel Lawrence.
