MEN and ladies from Northwick Bowling Club were again on top of their form as the Cotswolds club added three more wins to maintain their undefeated start to the season.

The men defeated Wellesbourne 99-44, while the ladies got the better of Stratford 44-38 mainly thanks to a rink success for captain Tilly Pearson, Linda Tomes and Brenda Shepherd.

There was also success for the Blockley-based mixed squad after an 84-55 win over Aston Somerville.

Scores - Northwick 44, Stratford Ladies 38: L Tomes, B Shepherd, T Pearson won 20-11. Lesley Keyte, Eise Braddock, Joan Parnell lost 14-13. Tina Tomes, Brenda Moulder, Barbara Disley lost 13-11.

Northwick Men 99, Wellesbourne 44: Pat Sheehan, Colin Disley, Les Moulder won 24-11. Tony Drinkwater, Ian Sollis, Alfie Pearson won 17-8. Alec Shepherd, Damien Cooper, Stuart Drinkwater 28-10.

Northwick Mixed 84, Aston Somerville 55: Chris Adams, J Parnell, C Disley lost 18-16. R Keyte, B Prew, A Pearson 21-6. E Braddock, I Sollis, T Pearson won 23-18. A Drinkwater, Mary Graham, G Foster 24-13.
