Making mosaics is part of the holiday fun for children

COTSWOLD District Council's Corinium Museum has arranged a series of events in Moreton, Bourton and Stow at half-term.

On Tuesday, May 31, seven- to 12-year-olds will have the chance to make their own Roman Mosaics at Stow Library. The event, which runs from 2-4.30pm, costs £6 and can be booked by calling the library on 01451 830352.

On the following day, June 1, Bourton Youth Club will be the venue for a Roman Myths and Masks storytelling and craft workshop. The event, which is suitable for six to 11-year-olds, costs £4 and runs from 2-4pm. To book call Bourton library on 01451 820964.

Finally, as the return to school looms on June 3, Geoff Hales and his travelling theatre will bringing the Beautiful Pea Green Boat Show to Moreton's council area centre and Stow library. The 40-minute performance features a collection of nonsense poems - including the Jumblies and Jabberwocky - along with the chance for youngsters to write their own versions.
