Flowers will boost nursing care

THE organiser of Shipston Home Nursing's annual fund-raising flower sale is hoping to better the £2,500 that was raised in less than two hours last year.

This year's sale at the Townsend Hall on Saturday will see something in the region of 3,000 plants snapped up by eager visitors.

Organiser Sonia Baker is appealing for people to drop off plants for the sale at the venue tomorrow between noon and 6pm. "People have already been very generous with their donations - it would be wonderful if we could do even better than last year," she said.

All money raised at the sale, which runs from 10am-noon, will help Shipston Home Nursing continue providing palliative care for the terminally ill throughout the Stour Valley.
