Sunday is Family Day

STRATFORD Racecourse is gearing up for its third Family Day on Sunday - a meeting that is being generously sponsored by The Birming-ham Evening Mail.

Race day will begin at 11am when the gates open. The first race of the seven National Hunt Races gets under way at 2pm with the last under starter's orders at 5.

There will be plenty to see and do for all the family with free entertainment and family attractions once again the centrepiece of the day.

There's a display by the Quack Pack in the paddock before the first race in addition to the National Festival Circus, fairground stalls and jockeys signing autographs,

There will also be tours of the weighing room, a falconry display, bouncy castle, face painters and much more in the Centre Course area.

There will also be a shuttle bus between the racecourse and the Stratford Rail Station before and after racing.

Admission costs as little as £6 (centre course/picnic area), with entry to Tattersalls at £12 and the Club Enclosure £16. Accompanied children under 16 are admitted free of charge.

Ladies Day follows this weekend's action on Sunday, July 17 ahead of a third meeting of the month on Thursday, July 28.

Next month's solitary meeting takes place on Sunday, August 14.
