Haunting thriller to start autumn season

A HAUNTING thriller is heading the new autumn season at The Everyman, Cheltenham.

The Woman in Black, so popular it is celebrating 16 years in the West End, is returning to tingle the spines of September theatregoers.

Other major plays include rugby comedy Up and Under, Framed, starring Lucy Benjamin and Andrew Paul (September) and Joanna Trollop's Marrying the Mistress (October).

Comedians taking the stage will include Pam Ayres (Sep), Ardal O'Hanlon (Oct), Harry Hill and the Grumpy Old Women Live show in November, with Al Murray visiting in December.

Top musicals Annie (Oct) and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Nov) are providing top entertainment and dance fans will enjoy Flamenco Express, Russian Cossacks (Sep) and Moscow Ballet (October).

The English Touring Opera is stopping off in November as is the Reduced Shakespeare Company's brand new show Completely Hollywood, where the energetic actors will be recreating all the great movies in one evening.

Alan Titchmarsh is giving a Christmas show at the end of November and - oh yes you can - you can book up now for this year's pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, which will run from December 2.
