THE 20th staging of the Hooky Six Road Race takes place on Sunday, August 7 (11am) that will again prove a busy day for officials at the smallest running clin in the Banbury area.
More than 200 serious runners usually visit the Hook Norton for a race that also includes a fun run and children's race.
The event, originally sponsored by the local brewery, was started in 1986 by members of Hook Norton Harriers and as it became established it was officially recognised by the British Association of Road Races.
The course record was set in 1995 by Julian Moorhouse (29.49), while Jo Kelsey has been the fastest lady round the course, clocking 35.15 two years ago.
Runners at next month's race will all receive a goody bag containing a commemorative t-shirt and for more details on how to enter ring Marion Roche on 01295 251749.
