THE Clive Harrison Black Belt Academy of Excellence based at Tewkesbury Sports Centre has just added two new Black Belts to it's class with Jack England and Adam Walton successful at a prestigious grading in Derby.
The students had to perform various disciplines that included advanced leg and hand techniques, set sparring combinations, patterns (attack and defence combinations in various directions), free sparring, self defence techniques, power techniques on a kick bag, destruction (breaking) for the adults and also a theory test to ensure a good knowledge of Tae Kwon-Do.
Instructors Tonia Cox (5th Dan) and Clive Harrison (6th Dan) have now helped more than 300 students attain Black Belt and above status.
Harrison said: "The students have worked really hard to achieve their grade and everyone at the club is extremely proud of them.
"They all set a good example to the lower grades by training hard, helping students in class and representing the club at demonstrations and competitions."
Anyone wishing to enrol at the Academy is asked to call 01905 820862.
