Outdoor art show highight for town

MORETON'S first outdoor art exhibition, which will highlight artistic talent in the North Cotswold area, will open next month.

The exhibition, due to be sited at the northern end of the town, will start at Townend Cottage and include a number of pieces of artwork across High Street buildings including Dormer House School.

The exhibition, organised by the director of Moreton-based FBL Ltd, will take place from 10am on Saturday, August 27.

It will include a varied range of work including paintings from local colleges and schools. The aim of the exhibition is also to draw attention to an underused area at the northern end of the town.

Mr Eden said: "We've come up with a novel way of displaying the paintings while drawing attention to many of the buildings that make Moreton such an architecturally diverse town."

He added: "We've had a fantastic response from businesses and individuals in the town."

The exhibition will be held subject to weather conditions on the day.
