Bengeworth spot on

THE third event in the 2005 Wychavon Parish Games took place on Sunday when bad weather made conditions difficult in the five-a-side football at Badsey Rec.

However, eight teams from across Wychavon contested the event, with many of the last round games being decided after a penalty shoot-out.

It was Evesham Bengeworth who emerged triumphant with Bretforton in second place followed by Eckington, Pebworth, Inkberrow, Bredon, Crowle and Harvington.

The next one-day event is the cross-country at the beginning of September. Draw sheets for the knockout events will be sent out to organisers within the next fortnight.
