DANIEL'S PROJECT: A coffee morning held last Saturday in the Baptist church by Daniel Clements of Orchard Place was a successful occasion, making almost £150. Daniel, at present in the sixth form at Prince Henry's School, is aiming to raise a total of £750 with which to pay his expenses for a project next summer when he plans to spend several weeks working for a charity in Kamuzinda Orphan Village in Uganda. He has to pay his own expenses so his family and friends are rallying round to help him raise the money.

ST JAMES' CHURCH: The Christmas Fair is on Saturday, in the village hall. From noon till 2pm, there will be all the usual stalls, attractions, activities, competitions and music, as well as light lunches and the traditional mulled wine served both inside and out of the hall.
