SECOND round action in the Winter League took place on Town and Common Road Waters last weekend.

Competitors found conditions difficult on the coloured river after an overnight frost and the top four teams were separated by a mere two points.

The next match is the Fed-Up Open - an Evesham Festival qualifier - that takes place on Town, Common and Ferry Waters on Wednesday, Decem-ber 28. More details at local tackle shops.

Results - Winter League (Team): 1 Evesham WMC 11pts; 2 Jubilee Bronze 12; =3 Jubilee Silver, Stuarts AC 13. Individual - Section A: G Seadon (Jubilee). Section B: P Seedhouse (Jubilee). Section C: S Rogers (Jubilee). Section D: A Hammerton (Evesham WMC).

MEMBERS fished the Turkey Open at the Fishery where excellent results were recorded.

Five anglers went home with turkeys at the end of a contest that saw all anglers catching fish.

Members who have not booked in for the Fur and Feather on Sunday are asked to do so by tomorrow night at the latest.

Christmas hats and decorations should be worn by competitors and a full turnout is expected with a special prize for top junior and the Committee Cup at stake.

Evesham Youth AC

THE second round of the Tingle Canal Series was fished on the Worcester Canal, Parks Section on Sunday.

Another cold night didn't spoil the sport as most anglers caught although weights were low.

Results - Juniors: 1 Bradley Proctor 0-13-8; 2, Simon Pickering (Wooffs) 0-8-0; 3, Anna Blyth (Wooffs), 0-1-8. Intermedi-ates: 1 Will Beasley 0.1.50. Seniors: 1 Dave Beasley 0-8-0; 2 Rob Blyth, 0-7-8; 3 Cyril Thompson, 0-6-0.

The third round will be fished on Saturday, January 14 at the same venue.
