Visit of rugby stars boosts sports hall plan

THE Cotswold School welcomed England and Gloucestershire rugby stars Robert Thirlby and Jamie Forrester to help support their bid for the building of a Sports Hall in the school grounds.

The decision on the sports hall, which would provide facilities for the 940 pupils at the Bourton-on-the-Water school and the local community, will be made this week.

The bid is being supported by Bourton Parish Council and the Cotswold District Council and huge support has been shown by the parents.

The facility would enable indoor hockey, cricket, football to take place in inclement weather and help with the training programmes for the school's top sportsmen and women who have represented the county in athletics, badminton, cricket and rugby.
