FOUR matches were played in the B Division and three in the A Division of the Cotswold Floorball League last Thursday.
Mickleton gave Chipping Campden School a fright when two goals from Max Beard gave them the lead. The senior school, though, managed to equalise through Grace Williams before George Woodall, Conall Davies and two goals from Max Outteridge secured a hard-fought 6-2 success.
St Mary's made their seasonal debut and went home with a win, draw and defeat. The match against Willersey was scoreless.
They started the night with a 6-1 defeat at the hands of CCS with Harry Francis scoring for the losers and Outerridge, Woodall, Toby Robinson (2), Grace Williams and Will Valli seeing the senior school home.
In their final match St Mary's came up against a confident Mickleton and conceded a goal to Max Beard. However, Mickleton's exertions against CCS told when James Girling twice and Joe Denham netted three quick goals to give the Broadway school an unexpected victory.
St Mary's, Shipston, Mickleton and Longbor-ough will play each other on Thursday, January 12 after which it's back to the usual Tuesday night action when Bredon Hill, Tredington, St David's and Quinton are scheduled to take to the floor.
