EVESHAM'S Dan Keen, a member of Worc-ester Tri Club, rounded off 2005 in style by claiming second place in the end of season aquathon races at Worcester and Wombourne.
The 17-year-old easily won the junior categories in both races but his performances were also good enough to place him second in the open events.
The teenager produced a swim time of five minutes and 22 seconds for the 400-yard section of the Worcester event and he then literally tore round the 5K run course in the second fastest time of the day (17.43).
The next weekend Keen again produced a terrific time for the 400m swim (5.38) before again setting the pace in the run and clipping 28 seconds off the previous time.
Worcester Tri also produced some great results in the children's race with David Jubb and Tegan Parsons winning their respective age category races and Jorden Parsons finishing second in her race after leading out the swim.
