Junior round-up . . . Junior round-up . . . Junior round-up

Evesham Utd U-15 4, RC Warwick 3

UNITED bounced back from their disappointing result at Cinderford to record their first league win of the season.

The first half saw the Robins have the balance of play and that was eventually rewarded when Lewis Dallard forced the ball home.

The scorer struck again a couple of minutes later when he rose highest to head in a corner.

Evesham looked in the driving seat at half-time but the second half saw a whole different game.

Racing Club had to attack to get back into the game and an early reply gave them renewed confidence.

Evesham lost their shape and concentration and Warwick took full advantage to take a 3-2 lead.

This seemed to provide Evesham with the wake-up call they needed and an equaliser came with only minutes left when Daniel Trotman broke down the left and crossed for Tom Miles to shoot home from close range.

At this point both sides probably would have settled for a draw but, when Miles broke through again and was upended in the box, the referee pointed to the penalty spot and Tom Waghorn calmly slotted in the winner.

DESPITE struggling to produce their best form, the hosts ran out convincing winners.

Jack Perks spearheaded the goal rout with five goals, Alex Johnson grabbed a hat-trick and a solitary strike from Jack Witts completed the scoring.

Numerous chances went begging in the first half, while only heroics from Inkberrow goalkeeper Jonathan Drinkwater prevented the winners reaching double figures.

Bredon Colts Harriers U-13s- 0,

Evesham Utd B 2

HARRIERS proved stiffer competition than their league position would indicate and fine goal-keeping and resolute defending kept Evesham at bay for most of the first half.

Henry Woods and Elliot Grady were both denied when chances came their way but the deadlock was broken before the break when a cross from Tom Evans broke to James Bearcroft who drilled the ball home through a crowded penalty area.

The second half followed the same pattern but Bredon exerted more pressure and it was the Evesham defence that had to work hard with Wes Burden, Colin Philpott, Andrew Powell and Owen Jones soaking up the pressure.

When the pressure was finally released it was Bryn Tomes who fired home the clincher from outside the box.

Badsey Rgrs U-8 4, Southside Cubs 1

LAST weekend's friendly match turned out to be an outstanding clash between two evenly matched teams.

The visitors made their intentions clear when they spent the first five minutes camped in the Badsey half however, it was home team who scored first when a cross from Matthew Knight led to Ryan Attwood finding the net.

Honours remained even for the remainder of the half until Rangers' strength showed with Jordan Lymn finishing off a good move to make it 2-0.

Attwood then waltzed around three defenders to score his second before Nathan Bolland lobbed the keeper from 15 yards to make it 4-0 at the interval.

The game continued at the same pace during the second half with both teams playing some attractive passing football but there was only one more goal and that came the way of the Cubs.

Cirencester Tn 3, Badsey Rgrs U-11 4

RANGERS were quickly made to pay for resting a trio of regulars as the lowly hosts took the lead.

Town almost added a second before Badsey woke up and levelled after 15 minutes when Nick Remfry netted.

The visitors now took control and goals from Jonathan Bell and Jack Milward gave them a 3-1 interval cushion.

Any thoughts of an easy victory, though, were dispelled early in the second half when Rangers were again caught cold and two goals inside five minutes levelled matters.

However, James Schembri fired in what proved to be the winner 15 minutes from time but even then Badsey were indebted to some stout defending from Tom Attwood and player of the match James Waterhouse to secure the victory.

Evesham Utd B 3,

Evesham Utd Robins U-12 0

THESE two sides met for a second successive week and the end result was the same as the Robins crashed to defeat.

United fired in two early goals courtesy of Joe Iorns and Angus Steele to take control but only excellent goalkeeping prevented the Robins from getting back into the game.

The hosts were again in the back foot in the second half but their goal remained intact and it was the Robins who conceded a third late on when Steele netted to clinch the win.

Worcester Wizards 1,

Evesham Utd Robins U-9 3

UNITED stayed firmly at the top of the Mercian Festival League with a comfortable victory.

Daniel Bowles opened the scoring direct from a corner and it was 2-0 when Adam Keen sidefooted in from close-range.

Top scorer Matthew Abbott then got in on the act to seal the victory before the Wiz-ards bagged a late consolation that ended player of the match defender Liam Willi-amson's hopes of keeping a clean sheet.

Badsey Rgrs U-10 8, Harvington 0

RANGERS remain undefeated this season after an emphatic win over spirited opposition.

There was only one goal between the teams at half-time courtesy of a goal from Ryan Dixon who then went on to double his tally as Badsey led 2-0.

The final quarter saw Rangers in complete command and they scored six more goals thanks to Alex Jones, Scott Southern, Jacob Phipps, Matty Andrew and player of the match Dixon who took his personal tally to four.

Bredon Colts U-13 12, Vale Wdrs 0

COLTS dominated last weekend's clash although Wanderers battled gamely to the finish.

There were six goals in each half when Fred Humphries scored twice to add to goals from Nick Hill, Stuart Dare, Ed Scarrott and Charlie Morefield.

Humphries took his total to five with a second half treble and the scoring was completed courtesy of further goals from Tom Spiers and Scott Bunch.

Alcester 2000 1, Evesham Utd U-9 10

UNITED made easy progress in their cup clash after a clinical display of finishing.

The tie was as good as wrapped up by half-time after goals from Charlie Green, Ryan Thompson and Josh Evans gave the visitors a 3-0 lead.

Reverting to a more attacking formation after the break certainly paid off as Joe Millar, with a hat-trick, two from Jake Seymour, Billy Stokes and another for Evans rounded off a fine show.

Perdiswell & Worcester 1,

Evesham Utd U-11 Girls 2

TWO goals from Ella Parry-Reece helped Evesham to a hard fought success.

Perdiswell played with great determination and passion, but it was Evesham who broke the deadlock early in the second half when an error by the goalkeeper was capitalised on by Parry-Reece.

A break from Danielle Monks down the wing then saw her feed the ball through to the scorer who buried the ball into the net for 2-0.

A mix-up at the back allowed Perdiswell to claw a goal back and United were then indebted to the efforts of defenders Natasha Brotherton, Jaspreet Bassi and Hannah Lowerson and goalkeeper Lauren Colledge for protecting their slender advantage.
