RESPLENDENT in their brand new away kit in white, Sunday turned into a black day for Rangers!

The visitors conceded three goals in the opening 15 minutes as woeful defending left player of the match goalkeeper Max Outteridge exposed and leaving Moreton with a mountain to climb for the remainder of the contest.

They at least managed to win the remainder of the game and, after hitting the crossbar twice, Harry Bates netted to trim the deficit to just two goals at the break.

Again the visitors were caught cold after the kick-off when Combe scored a fourth goal after a bout of non-existent tackling but it was 4-2 soon after when James Hicks produced a fine strike to at least give Rangers a glimmer of hope.

That was soon extinguished when Outteridge was beaten for a fifth time before Hicks netted his second that counted for nothing at the finish.

Moreton Rgrs U-14 3

A COMMITTED and spirited Rangers side shared the spoils on a cold Sunday afternoon.

Although falling two goals behind, Moreton never gave up and, when Sam McPherson ghosted in on the far post to pull one back before he interval, it was game on.

The second half saw Rangers unsettle their opponents. A jinking run and fine through ball from Jack Ashcroft allowed Connor Sherry to hammer home a deserved equaliser.

Moreton were forced to dig deep a third time and when Dan Packer's delightful chip found the back of the net the crowd were treated to a pulsating finale.

When the final whistle came Rangers were in the ascendancy but were unable to penetrate a worried defence one last time.

Badsey Rgrs U-8 4, Evesham Utd 0

THREE goals in the opening 11 minutes proved sufficient to maintain Badsey's unbeaten league record in what proved an entertaining affair.

Aaron Jelfs opened the scoring with a well-taken right foot strike and the same player then made it 2-0 a couple of minutes later.

Rangers' excellent passing play was further rewarded when Tom Benfield fired in his side's third midway through the half.

The second half produced a more even contest when the action was end to end but the only goal came in the dying seconds when Nathan Bolland found the net to score his side's fourth.

Vale Wdrs U-13 0, Evesham Utd 6

AFTER some resolute defending, Vale conceded an own goal when a defender deflected in Elliot Grady's shot.

James Bearcroft then hit the bar but Grady followed in to score a second.

Harrison Cother extended the lead after a corner from Tom Evans before Grady turned provider for Bearcroft to find the net.

Ivan Masica was the next on target and his through ball was then netted by Grady to complete the scoring.

Badsey Rgrs U-10 8, AC Ilmington 0

RYAN Dixon gave Rangers the first minute lead when converting a corner from Matty Andrew.

The provider quickly doubled the lead before the in form Dixon netted his second and leave Badsey in firm control.

Alex Jones and Will Gillette both went close from distance before midfielder Andrew found the net again with a fine left-footed strike.

Rangers didn't let up after the break when Dixon completed his hat-trick after a fine move involving Andrew, Danny Orton and Jacob Phipps.

Andrew went on to complete his treble and then added a fourth before player of the match Andrew completed the scoring with another excellent shot from the edge of the penalty area.

Evesham Utd Girls U-11 3

SATURDAY'S hard-fought success brought a splendid season to a close as the girls finished on a real high.

United trailed by two goals at the break after a couple of quality strikes from outside the penalty area found the net.

However, three changes to the Evesham line-up proved the key factor and goals from Zoe Mabbot, Ella Parry-Reece and Danielle Monks turned things round and ended the season in fine fashion.

Other members of the squad who have made their mark this season are Lauren Colledge, Natasha Brotherton, Jaspreet Bassi, Marie-Charlotte Rich, Hannah Lowerson, Daniella Molloy, Kelly Fowkes, Millie Meadows, Lucy Rogers and Izzy Lavery.

EVESHAM progressed into the semi-finals of the League Cup thanks to another solid team performance and yet another clean sheet.

James Bearcroft opened the scoring after a threaded pass from Louis Brown but they had to wait until the second half to kill off the tie.

Ivan Masica held off two defenders to score and Elliot Grady made it 3-0 after the defence failed to clear James Coldrick's headed pass.

Coldrick then turned provider after a surging run up the wing and crossing for Brown to fire home, before completing his brace, heading home a well flighted Bearcroft corner.

Grady then completed his hat-trick either side of Bearcroft finding the net.
