Pupils enjoy healthy start to day

PUPILS at Newbold and Tredington School are so enthusiastic about food they had a whole day featuring it, backed by local producers and products.

Lessons on Tuesday all involved food, with tastings and quizzes arranged by farmers, parents and teachers as part of National Breakfast Week, celeb-rating breakfast as a wholesome start to day, especially when using locally-sourced products.

Key links in the day were Will and Elizabeth James, of Whitchurch Farm, Whitchurch.

Mr James is chairman of the Stratford branch NFU and Mrs James has been a parent governor at the school for many year.

Mr James said: "Our aim was to give these young children a very enjoyable and informative day and with the project that they are doing at school give a lasting impression to them and through them to their parents that good food is available and we want to develop that appre-ciation."
