Courses to help find middle men

TO HELP overcome the shortage of referees in Worc-estershire six courses have been arranged for anyone wanting to take up the whistle.

The first course for Mini Soccer running for two consecutive evenings takes place on March 13 and 14 at 7pm.

An 11-a-side course starts on Friday, March 17 (7-9) and continues at the same times on following Fridays for eight weeks.

If the above dates are inconvenient, more Mini Soccer courses with the same format are planned for August 10 and 11 and November 9 and 10.

Similar courses for the 11-a-side game are planned to start on August 18 and November 17 again at Worcestershire FA Headquarters, De Salis Drive, Hampton Lovatt Industrial Estate, Droitwich.

The minimum age for taking up refereeing is 14 years.

For more information ring the WFA on 01905 827137 (office hours) or Bill Allsopp (evgs) 01299 826654.
