Honeybourne

WEDNESDAY CLUB: Met on April 5 when Mrs M Boath presided. Birthday cards were distributed after which members observed a few minute's silence for the passing of member Vera Blundell from Broadway. A few members are still on the sick list and we wish them a speedy recovery.

Anne Abel was welcomed as a new member and it is hoped she will enjoy the club. A special Easter raffle took place, organised by Olwen Humphries - the proceeds of which will be donated to Honeybourne School.

The programme for the afternoon was a very informative talk given by Colin Duncan from Dunwood Travel. Holidays are always a favourite topic and many questions from the members were dealt with by Colin in a very friendly manner. Brochures were distributed and no doubt will be studied by those interested in having a well-organised holiday. Mrs Boath thanked Colin for his visit.

Cakes for tea were given by Mrs Wood and Mrs Bowen. Tea was served by Sylvia Matthews and helpers.
