DJs needed to aid patients' recovery

SIX new disc-jockeys are needed to present weekend programmes on Evesham Hospital Radio.

Radio presenters Martin Brain and Steve Challenger, who both work at the hospital, are on the search for new presenters who have a passion for music.

Mr Brain said: "We don't expect professional presenters - all training will be given - we don't expect someone to just come in and present a show.

"We've trained presenters who are disabled, male, female our oldest presenter is in his 80s and our youngest is just 16. We're willing to interview anyone as long as they can satisfy the hospital safety rules."

The radio team plays golden oldies as many listeners are in their 50s and older.

Mr Brain added: "We're here to entertain the people in hospital, helping the hours pass while they're here. All our presenters enjoy their shows because it brings great pleasure to them and to the listeners, who love the music from yesteryear."

If you fancy being the next Terry Wogan or Sarah Kennedy, contact Pete Challenger on 01386 556463.
