Extra day for the spring garden festival

THE Spring Gardening Show on the Three Counties Showground is celebrating its coming of age this year - 21 years on from the small regional flower show which started it all off.

So successful has it become that organisers have this year introduced a fourth day to accommodate growing visitor numbers without compromising on comfort.

A special Press and preview day from noon to 6pm on Thursday, May 11, is an exclusive opportunity for a strictly limited number of people to see the best of the show's RHS displays and show gardens at their freshest and finest.

New for 2006 is the Garden Life Pavilion, a beautifully designed showcase of handpicked, individual, garden-related exhibitors, orchestrated by TJM Associates, located in the show gardens area. Also new is the Elgar Arcade, a high-class shopping experience with designer stands.

Other attractions include the Interactive Design Theatre in association with National Savings and Investments and featuring Gardeners' World presenter Joe Swift, with James Alexander-Sinclair and Alan Titchmarsh.

Three Counties spokeswoman Sharon Gilbert said: "Visitors can also enjoy the largest Floral Art Show in the country complete with its own theatre, together with innovative ideas, revolutionary gadgets, exquisite crafts, quality food and wine and hundreds of tradestands selling everything from seeds and plants to tools and equipment."

Tickets are available on the ticket hotline on 01684 584924 or online at www.threecounties.co.uk.
