THERE's some of the most famous names in theatre, film, music and dance performing throughout the summer months at Malvern Theatres.
There is a return visit from Liza Goddard and Ian Ogilvy from May 22 as they star in the famous thriller, Dangerous Obsession.
The Hollow by the best-selling fiction author of all time, Agatha Christie, features an all-star cast headed by Kate O'Mara, Tony Britton and Tracey Childs from May 29.
Then a poignant slice of northern life is explored in Shelagh Delaney's award-winning classic, A Taste of Honey, starring Coronation Street actor, Bruno Langley and Samantha Giles (Emmerdale) which plays from June 12.
There's stacks of laughs to be had starting with Tim Firth's comedy, The Safari Party from May 15. Starring Christopher Timothy, Sara Crowe and Jack Ryder the play is set over the course of a dinner party - as the evening progresses and truths divulged chaos erupts.
From June 5 the explosive new comedy, Killing Castro by Brian Stewart stars Casualty actor Clive Mantle, Edward Hardwicke and Michael Praed.
Vicar of Dibley actor James Fleet stars in Alan Bennett's comedy Habeas Corpus. With a succession of characters ranging from a rampant doctor and a randy vicar to a frustrated flat-chested spinster, this rollicking farce is as saucy and English as a seaside postcard. There's also stand up comedy from Ken Dodd on July 14 and 15 and Roy Chubby Brown on August 9 and 10.
If you're a fan of musicals then look no further! Dave Willetts and Shona Lindsay star in the fantastic Seven Brides for Seven Brothers from June 26.
From July 3 the national tour of Cole Porter's Anything Goes cruises into town. Starring Sandra Dickinson, Barry Howard and Michael Starke, Anything Goes will create a wave of laughter with the cast singing and dancing up a storm sending you sailing happily into the sunset.
Some of the finest musicians and groups will also perform at the theatres throughout the summer months. The world's most famous flautist, James Galway plays with the London Mozart Players on May 12. The CBSO comes to the theatres for the first time in more than a decade on July 22 with 'Here Come The Proms', a concert of summer classics and is joined by conductor, composer and entertainer Carl Davis. The National Youth Orchestra return on August 3 while Freddy Kempf joins the English Chamber Orchestra on August 11.
There's also performances the breathtaking Soweto Gospel Choir May 5 and 6, Abba tribute group, Voulez Vouz June 23, a combined concert with The Barron Knights and The Fortunes on July 21 and David Essex is returning on November 12 after selling out every one of his previous performances at Malvern.
August sees a special weekend of jazz taking place at the Forum Theatre. Favourite vocalist Elkie Brooks joins legendary trumpeter Humphrey Lyttelton and the Humphrey Lyttelton Band for the first of this weekend's concerts on August 18.
