Capital shows in Marathon

IAN MacDougall had a fantastic run in his debut mara-thon in London where he clocked a superb time of two hours 34 minutes and 39 seconds to finish tenth V40.

Fellow Bourton Roadrunner Alistair Lockey unfortunately cramped up in the latter stages, finishing in 2.46.16.

Martin Jewell, though, did well to get round after suffering an injury and managed a fine effort of 3.29.31 for his Stroke charity.

John Raper, running for the Breast Cancer charity, achie-ved 3.30.52, while Julia Ruth-erford finished with an excellent pb of 3.50.41.

John Gibson, in his Hamlet garb, clocked 3.56.42 and Steve Humphries, as a red devil, 4.29.44.

Chris Bence and Kate Hall, in their first marathon, ran superbly for 4.30.35, accompanied by Norm and Ali Lane. All four crossing the line together for NSPCC.

Patsy Howe became a true runner on the day in her first marathon with a fine effort for charity crossing the line in 6.19.18.
