North and Middle Littleton

PARISH COUNCIL: There were no parishioners present at the annual parish meeting. Reports were given by the chairman, school representative, parish paths officer, district and county councillors.

Items from the parish council meeting included:

Litter Pick: Following information received from Wychavon an interest has been expressed to carry out this work.

Village Hall: A grant of £1,000 has been made for the year 2006.

Local Transport: Replies had been received to letters sent in connection with the withdrawal of the bus service to North Littleton. This is still be investigated.

Flood Alleviation: Details have been received from the Environment Agency in connection with the official opening of the scheme. Further works to be carried out by Wychavon District Council and Worcestershire County Council are being investigated.

Speed Signs: It was agreed to request an update regarding these to be placed on Cleeve Road. Concern was expressed regarding the number of vehicles exceeding the speed limit on this stretch of road.

Drainage (Cleeve Road): Following the jetting of these drains faults have been identified and necessary work programmed.

Play Area: Councillors will ascertain a number and age groups of children to be catered for with regard to new equipment. The mother and toddlers group members have been requested to give their views on the type of equipment to be put in place. The possibility of the removed swing being put back is being investigated.
