Athletic's knockout prowess

HALFORDS Athletic will contest a fourth Stratford and District Alliance knockout final tonight when they face Cubbington Albion.

This time it's the Nursing Home Cup Final at Alveston (7.30) and they will be hoping to add to their earlier success in the Division Two Knockout Cup Final.

Ilmington Revolution tasted also trophy success last week when a James Shearman penalty earned a 1-0 victory in the Division One Knockout Cup Final against Earlswood Town.

The losers, however, weren't miserable for long as they overcame Halfords 3-2 in last Saturday's R M Smith Cup Final with Chris Moran netting twice for the winners.

Gary Hawkins was Satur-day's leading individual goalgetter with a four-goal salvo that earned Broadway a top flight romp against Halfords.

The other Aquaid Division One clash resulted in a 3-1 victory for Bidford over Badsey United.

Karl Scott and Scott Suth-erland both found the net twice as Littleton overcame Cubbington in Herald Divis-ion Two, while a brace from Dave Roberts helped Badsey Rangers to a point following a 3-3 Cutler Division Three draw at home to Bloc-kley Sports.
