Courts open for free play

SHIPSTON Tennis Club is once again throwing open its doors for an afternoon of free court action as part of the LTA's Play Tennis initiative.

Activities begin at 2pm on Saturday, culminating in a barbeque around 5.30.

Several of the club's ten-strong coaching team will be in attendance to deliver taster sessions and there will be many giveaways and lots of competitions.

Rackets can be borrowed but suitable footwear must be worn. All ages and abilities will be catered for.

There are also free tickets on offer for the DFS Classic at Edgbaston to see the top ladies in action just before next year's Wimbledon.

For more information log on to www.shipstontennis.org.uk or phone Janet Connor on 01608 662560.
