LOCAL HISTORY SOCIETY: The River Severn - From the Source to Bridgnorth, was a talk by the popular speaker, Brian Draper MBE. Aerial photography together with Mr Draper's commentary revealed the Severn's route. A packed Greig Hall had an enjoyable tour from high in the Cambrian Mountains of Wales to Shropshire.

The next talk, Kilvert's Diary, will be presented by local historian Ralph Richardson. The Rev Francis Kilvert was a Victorian country parson of Clyro, on the Welsh borders. He began to keep a diary in 1870 in which he described the people he met and the places visited in fascinating detail.

The evening starts at 8pm on Wednesday, May 10 at the Greig Hall. Members and visitors are welcome.
