Vale plaudits

THE Vale Golf and Country Club and head green keeper Mark Heath, received rave notices after staging the Worcestershire and Hereford-shire Lady Veteran Golfers' Association's Spring Meeting and Club Championship.

Association secretary Wendy Ormerod penned a letter thanking the club for staging the tournament, while complimenting the greens staff on the excellent condition of the course.

For the record, Cathy Harris from The Worcestershire defeated clubmate Mary Horrobin in the final.
