A BADSEY boy has won the chance to be the mascot when England play their pre-World Cup friendly against Jamaica next week.
Jordan Lymn, aged eight, of Badsey Fields, a keen Liverpool and Cheltenham Town supporter, was selected to be a mascot at the England game on Saturday, June 3. The youngster answered the question 'who scored by the winning goals in the England game against Uruguay when they played earlier this year?' in the contest organised by the official England supporters' club.
Jordan, who attends Badsey First School, will travel to Old Trafford in Manchester with his dad Mick and mum Kirsty and will walk out with the England players.
Dad Mick said: "We're very excited and very proud. Jordan loves football and plays for the under-eights of Badsey Rangers on Saturdays, so he was thrilled when he found out. This sort of thing doesn't happen every day for local people."
