ARTS THEATRE CLUB: At the final meeting of the season on May 19 members of Pershore Arts Theatre Club had a talk given by Mary Croxson on Jane Austen, particularly concentrating on the places and houses she had visited throughout England, many of which had figured later in her novels. Members were reminded about the proposed visit to Stourbridge Glass Museum on June 7 and were asked to let June Warner know as soon as possible if they wished to go. The 2006-7 season of talks will commence on September 15 when the speaker will be David Howe, his subject being English, Whose English, a history of the English language.

Meetings are held in the Courtyard Room at Number 8 Community Arts Centre, beginning at 7.30pm and visitors and prospective members are welcome. Further details can be obtained from the secretary, Mrs Dot Chapman, on 01386 552989.
