PARISH COUNCIL: At the May meeting, Cllr Llewellyn was elected chairman and Cllr Southcott vice- chairman.

Responsibilities for the following year are: planning, Cllr Southcott and Cllr McDonald; mowing Cllr Worthington; footpaths, Cllr Mills; publicity, Cllr Stephens; lighting, Cllr Carter; insurance, Cllr Cross; future parish plan, Cllr Southcott; sporting facilities, Cllr Anderson; tree warden, Cllr Stephens.

Annual grants were awarded to: village hall £100; parochial church council for the church clock £30; Citizens Advice Bureau £100; Cotswold Line £25.

Parish Plan - Cllr Southcott reported that following the finalisation of the questionnaire the plan would be circulated.

Traffic Census - Worcestershire County Councillor Eyre offered to bring the relevant statistics and officers to the next meeting. It was requested that the recent A44 noise study be included. Cropthorne and Charlton parish councils will be invited to attend the meeting.

Pavilion donors plaque - Cllr Southcott asked the meeting to consider something additional for the chairman of the pavilion fund raising, Brian Broadbent, who had died recently, in recognition of his efforts in securing the pavilion.

Tree warden - Cllr Stephens indicated that funding was available for additional trees on the recreational ground following Network Rail's clearance of the site.

Dog bins - It is hoped to site two more bins near the meadows.

Clean-up bursary - The clerk had obtained a £500 clean up bursary and this is to take place on July 2. The WI and PTA have been invited to participate.

Pool garden - The swing needs further inspection and the holes in the rubber floor need repairing.

Recreation ground entrance - Some form of limited access device to the recreation ground is required to prevent unwanted parking.

The next meting is to be held on July 19 at 7.30pm in the pavilion.
