ART SOCIETY: At the May meeting members enjoyed watching artist Ray Hedger demonstrate the art of painting landscapes in oils.

The subject he chose to paint was a scene of a Cornish estuary and the painting was completed in under two hours.

Next month's meeting on June 21 will be a portrait painted in pastels by Ron Jones.

Members are now preparing their work for the annual exhibition and sale of paintings at the United Reformed Church Hall, High Street, Broadway on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. One hundred paintings will be on show, submitted by more than 20 individual artists.

Evesham Art Society meets at the Friends Meeting House, Cowl Street, Evesham 7.15pm for 7.30pm. Non members welcome, entrance £3.
