Jackson spot on to earn a point

Tewkesbury Tn 3, Gaffers 3 ALTHOUGH Town dominated large parts of Saturday's Cheltenham League Division Four top of the table clash, a lack of pace and apparent lack of commitment in the final third once again cost them two points.

This was exposed early on in the game when Town failed to pick up runners allowing Gaffers to take the lead.

It wasn't long before the away side were two up when Matt Burton was beaten by a fierce drive from 30 yards.

t didn't look like Town were able to get anything from the game so changes had to be made and substitute Paul Kavanagh made an instant impact when his through ball released Ben Jackson who lobbed the goalkeeper.

Tewkesbury were busy celebrating when Gaffers broke through the middle and confusion at the back led to a third goal.

Debutant Kristian Kavanagh's hard work down the right paid dividends as his pinpoint cross fell on to the head of Jackson who nodded in from five yards.

Leom Holley came close with a number of rare long distance shots before the referee spotted a push on Paul Kavanagh in the box. This allowed Jackson to tie the game and complete his hat-trick with an expertly struck penalty.
