Gregory peeks with five gold

TEWKESBURY Swimming Club took a small but talented squad to the Tigersharks Open Meet in Swindon.

Under the guidance of coach Keith Bluck, the swimmers didn't disappoint and returned with a clutch of medals including 11 gold.

Gregory Baxter continued his upward rise leading the way with five gold medals closely followed by Russell Peek with four. The other gold medal winners were James Partridge in the 100m free and Harriet Parker in the 50 free.

In addition to the medal winning swims, both Parker and Will Gib-ney were awarded certificates of achievement for outstanding performances - Parker in the 100m fly and Gibney in the 100m breas-tstroke and 50m free.

Many other competitors, mean-while, posted new personal best times.

The club trains at both Cascades and Tewkesbury School and any one interested in joining a perf-ormance competitive club can visit www.tewkesburyswim-mingclub.co.uk for more information.
