TEWKESBURY Swimming Club was well represented at the Brockworth Cinderford and Lydney 4Th Sprint Open Meet at GL1 in Gloucester.
With medals awarded to the top eight swimmers in each age group, billed as a friendly meet, Tewkesbury, who finished second behind Thornbury in the County Cchampionship medal table last year, took a magnificent 16 gold, 19 silver and three bronze medals.
Dominating the 14-year age group, there was a one- two for James Butler and Will Gibney with the former edging out his teammate for first place in the 50m freestyle, 50m breaststroke 50m backstroke and 100 individual medley.
Gibney showed a fighting spirit to win the 50m butterfly, while youngest brother Eli, competing in the nine-yearage group, weighed in with two silver medals in the 50m backstroke and breastroke and bronze in the 50m butterfly.
Greg Baxter yet again made the boys' ten-year age group his own finishing first in all five events.
There were also winning swims from Jack Laughland, Russell Peek and Lewis Cole.
In the girls 50m freestyle, Jessica Bayliffe posted a time of 28.83 seconds to win gold, to add to silver medals in the 50m backstroke and 100IM and bronze in the 50m breaststoke.
Sisters Harriet and Charlotte Parker finished second and third respectively in their age groups in the 50m butterfly.
