Colts hit by cruel luck

Sheppey 3, Bredon Colts U-11 2 DESPITE outplaying their opponents in the first half, Colts ended up on the wrong end of an odd goal defeat.

Dan Brooks and Joseph Higgens had given Bredon a two-goal interval cushion but a cruel deflection finally saw goalkeeper Ryan Beresford picking the ball out of his net at the start of the second half and that proved the turning point.

Sheppey quickly levelled and another fortuitous strike brought the hosts a third goal and left the Colts with nothing to show for their efforts.
