    GOOD FRIDAY: The Procession of the Cross held annually will start from Mickleton, calling at Aston-sub-Edge, Weston-sub-Edge, and Saintbury then on to St Peter's Church for a service at 11.30am. Later, after a service at the Methodist Church, the planting of the Cross will take place on Sawpit Green. The start of the procession is at 9.30am and may be joined at any point en route. read more

    CHARITY EFFORTS: Daniel Clements, who did a sponsored 24-hour fast to raise money to pay his expenses for a visit to Uganda where he intends working this summer in the Kamazinda village for children orphaned by the Aids virus, has reported that the effort raised £708. This was Daniel's second fundraiser; his first was a coffee morning held before Christmas which was also successful and means that he has now almost reached his target. Daniel has thanked everyone for their support and interest in his plans. read more
