Revenge far from sweet as Colts crash

Bidford U-12 3, Bredon Colts 1

BIDFORD rose to the challenge to avenge a 6-0 thrashing at the hands of the Colts only a couple of weeks earlier.

Bredon produce done of their worst displays of the season and found themselves two goals adrift at half-time.

Bidford, though, were determined not to be overawed and played with tremendous passion and desire that was missing the first meeting.

They took the lead through James Cutts and it was no surprise when they doubled their lead before the break when Patrick Sullivan netted.

They laid siege to the home goal after the break but were denied by last-ditch defending before being caught on the break to trail 3-0 when Cutts netted his second of the match.

The only bright spot for the losers was an improved second half show and a late consolation goal from Lewis McMullen that couldn't hide a sorry Saturday for the losers and a sparkling win for the winners.
