Storage centre opens its doors

WORCESTER’S £2.5 million Stock N Lock Self Storage Centre at Venture Business Park in Lower Wick has officially opened.

The state-of-the-art, Aztec-yellow centre, which has taken a year to build and fit out, contains 44,000sq ft of storage space.

There are 680 storage rooms across three floors, a reception area with free refreshments and WiFi and a shop selling packaging supplies. Customers also have free use of a conferencing suite in the adjacent office complex, New Venture House.

The store has opened with a 50p deal, allowing clients to rent storage space for 50p for the first month. This offer will extend for six months. The second offer Beat the VAT means all storage costs will be VAT-free until summer 2013.

Charles Rodway, managing director of developer Lansdowne Rodway Estates, said: “My great-grandfather founded Lansdowne Rodway in Worcester more than a hundred years ago.

“Until now we’ve been a relatively straightforward residential and commercial property company. We’ve a great team in place, a beautiful yellow building, so the future is bright.”
