THE tackle giant Abu Garcia is sponsoring the Wychavon Championship at the Evesham Angling Festival this year. The top prize in the contest, which takes place between August 22 and 31, has been increased to £3,000 with backing prizes of £2,000, £1,000, £500 and £250. Ten section prizes are on offer of £150 in the final. The prize money for the Shakespeare Championship has been increased with the winner receiving £6,000.
