A poetry recital will be hosted by Amnesty International Stratford Group on Sunday as part of the town’s poetry festival.

Award-winning actors Richard Griffiths and Jane Lapotaire will be joined by RSC actors Greg Hicks and Mariah Gale to perform an evening of poetry, which reflects the human rights concerns of Amnesty International.

The recital, Candles in the Wind, has been compiled by long-time Amnesty supporter and former director of The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, Roger Pringle.

It takes place at The Queen Elizabeth Hall at the Shakespeare Centre at 7.30pm and tickets cost £15. They are available by calling 01789 292176.
