Police have made an urgent appeal for witnesses after a man attempted to abduct an 11-year-old girl in Bishop's Cleeve.
The attempt was made as Star Sallis was walking along Longlands Road at about 10am on Monday.
A man grabbed her by the arm and only let go when a passer-by shouted at him to do so.
The attacker is described as aged between 30 and 35, skinny and dark skinned. He had a shaven head, thin eyebrows and thick lips and spoke with an African accent Her rescuer was a white male in his 30s, wearing a white hat.
