Staverton shows off what it has to offer
1:18pm Friday 4th January 2013 in News
Gloucestershire Airport is gearing up for a holiday, travel and leisure weekend this month to spread the word about the range of services and activities Staverton can provide.
With more than 40 companies on site, employing almost 600 staff, the County’s airport is home to around 170 aircraft, ranging from single seat microlights to executive jets. It handles 74,000 flights per year.
Passenger flights are available to the Isle of Man, Belfast and Jersey through ATOL-bonded tour operator OSET Holidays, and visitors to the airport will be able to take advantage of early bird package deals and learn about what’s on offer at these great destinations. They’ll also get to see first hand how easy it is to use your local airport, with free parking just yards from the Terminal Building.
For the more adventurous, a wide range of airborne opportunities will also be on display. The Airport can offer hot air ballooning, helicopter sightseeing, pleasure and vintage flights as well as aerobatics and even wing-walking. The event will take place at the Airport’s Terminal building from 11am to 4pm on the weekend of January 19 and 20.
