Could you foster a child or young person?

GLOUCESTERSHIRE County Council will be holding a fostering open information evening in Tewkesbury.
Residents can go along to the event on Thursday, January 24 from 7pm to 9pm at the Birches Day Centre, Station Road.
There will be a presentation by a member of the fostering team at 7pm and a foster carer will be on hand to talk about their experience.
Fostering offers training and the opportunity to learn new skills and carers will also receive a weekly maintenance and skills allowance to help care for a child, which can amount to up to £300 if you foster a teenager.
There is no upper age limit to foster and carers come from all walks of life. For details call 01242 532654.
