National round-up
THE cold spell continued to bite tonight as icy conditions caused more travel chaos after the death toll rose to two - including a woman who died having collapsed in the snow.
Bernadette Lee was discovered in the front garden of the house next to her sister's by a man walking his dog yesterday at 7.30am in Church Meadows, Deal, Kent.
It is thought the 25-year-old might have been on her way home in sub-zero temperatures following a night out.
Kent Police are investigating the cause of death but there are reports she had no visible injuries and was found without a coat.
The weather is thought to have claimed a second victim when a man was killed as the car he was driving left the road and crashed into a tree on the A12 in Essex last night.
Elsewhere, a teenager remains critically ill in hospital after being injured while sledging in Middlesbrough.
6:12pm
Weather models all over the place but chance of more #snow tomorrow. #Herefordshire & #Gloucestershire look most at risk. Keep up to date.

Wassailing and a frost fair at Clive's Fruit Farm, in Upton, was cancelled due to the snow at the weekend.
The event has been re-scheduled and will now take place between 10am-4pm on Sunday, January 27.
11:02am
Despite the continued snow flurries over the weekend, Worcestershire County Council's social care staff ensured it was service as normal for the county's most vulnerable residents.
Staff changed working rotas, walked in where possible to make visits to people living locally and also used the 4x4 response team to reach people living in more isolated areas.
By doing this, staff ensured all of their clients received a service all over the weekend.
Day care services had to be cancelled as it was agreed that people were safer to stay at home rather than venture out in icy conditions and risk injury.
The adult social care service has a proven history of maintaining a good standard of care to people even when adverse weather conditions prove challenging.
In the last extreme snow of 2010, staff went on foot to ensure people had adequate resources i.e. medication, food, drinks, heating etc and in the 2007 floods, again the front line staff ventured out on foot while the office staff that coordinated the workers remained at work throughout the night until all service users had been reached.
Coun Philip Gretton, Worcestershire County Council's Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, said: "Looking after vulnerable people has to be a priority and I would like to thank our staff for again ensuring they did this over the weekend, despite the adverse weather conditions.
"They have again been visiting people by foot to ensure these most vulnerable people have essential medication and are keeping warm as the weather gets colder, and will continue to do so."

With schools closing due to the weather, children and adults may be taking the opportunity to sledge in the winter snow today.
West Midlands Ambulance Service is urging a safety first message after a spate of incidents over the weekend.
On Saturday, the Midlands Air Ambulance was called to a sledging incident on Bredon Hill. Ambulance crews also had to make their way on hands and knees up a steep slope in Walsall to a man who had fallen from a sledge and injured his back.
On Sunday the ambulance service was called to an eight-year-old boy, who was treated for a back injury and taken to Worcester Hospital after falling from a sledge near the Malvern Hills Hotel, Malvern.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "WMAS is reiterating its safety advice to those thinking of taking to the slopes this week.
"Every winter WMAS is called to people who have become injured whilst sledging. We would encourage people to just take a second to think about where they are sledging and to have fun safely."
WMAS continues to see a large increase in people injured as result of slips and falls.
Sunday saw 999 call demand increase across the region, most notably in Birmingham (17 per cent) Coventry and Warwickshire (14 per cent) and Staffordshire (16 per cent) increase.
With the cold weather conditions continuing, WMAS is urging the public to take extra care if you are going out today.
