Suzy’s role with Three Counties society

SUZY Hillier, former development director of the Cheltenham Literature Festival, for which she raised a record £515,000 sponsorship in 2012, has been appointed commercial manager of the Three Counties Agricultural Society, based at the Blackmore showground, Malvern.

Before joining the Literature Festival, Ms Hillier spent more than 20 years in sports travel operations, and marketing, working first at Gullivers Sports Travel and then at TUI Travel Sport Division, where her highlights included being in the stands at the 2003 Rugby World Cup final in Sydney, and going on five British & Irish Lions tours.

She will head the Society’s commercial department, responsible for income generation and the development of new activities within the shows and venue hire business, including sponsorship, sales and corporate hospitality.

She will also look after the promotion of the Three Counties Centre, opened in November 2011 as a multifunctional space suitable for conferences exhibitions and seminars, product launches, video shoots, parties and weddings.
