STUDENTS at Alderman Knight School were delighted when Pudsey Bear dropped in on their assembly on Friday afternoon.
The visit by the Children in Need mascot had been kept a secret.
Youngsters had been learning about the Children in Need appeal and raised money for the charity with a sponsored bounce and sale of cakes and biscuits.
Meanwhile, pupils at Tirlebrook school also raised money for the campaign, with a teddy bear's picnic and a sponsored drawing session.
And the little ones at Kiddwink's day nursery at Bishop's Cleeve held a car wash, while My Day Nursery in Tewkesbury raised money with a sponsored boogie. One of the rooms at the nursery was turned into a disco room for the day, and children and staff took it in turns to dance there.
