Pyjamas, hot chocolate and marshmallows were essential aids to learning at Northway Infant's School last week.
They added to the atmosphere of a bedtime story session, with pupils and staff suitably dressed.
Despite the unconventional attire, it had a serious object as part of a school literacy week.
The week also included story-telling and drama sessions and an all-day visit from children's author Miriam Moss on Thursday. It ended on Friday with a special literacy assembly, to which parents were invited.
