FESTIVE fun will be the order of the day at a charity singing event in Tewkesbury.

Sing for Sue, at Tewkesbury Methodist Church on Saturday, December 7, hosted by the Mayor of Tewkesbury Borough Coun Claire Wright, will raise money for the Sue Ryder charity.

The evening, which begins at 6.30pm, will include performances from the Heart and Soul Community Choir, the No Good Nancies, Deerhurst and Apperley primary school and Queen Margaret primary school.

The Sing for Sue events are taking place right across the south-west, aiming to raise £25,000 for the charity.

Doors for the Tewkesbury event open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start, and tickets cost £8 for adults, £5 for children and a family ticket is £24.

Coun Wright said: “This promises to be a wonderful event and there is a truly fantastic line-up.

"You can sit back, relax and enjoy some refreshments, while helping to raise money for a very important charity too. If singing is your thing then don’t miss out – I look forward to seeing you there."
